Every new roof gives $1,000 to a cause you choose

Giving back is how Charity Roofs does business. On every full roof replacement, we donate $1,000 of our own money to a church or charity you pick. Here's exactly how it works.

Who can receive the donation

We donate to

  • Churches and other houses of worship
  • IRS-registered 501(c)(3) charities
  • Public and private K-12 schools
  • Food banks, animal shelters, veterans groups and youth sports leagues that meet the rules above

We can't donate to

  • Individuals, families or crowdfunding campaigns
  • Political campaigns, parties or PACs
  • Any organization you, a family member or anyone living at the property owns, runs or is paid by
  • Organizations outside the United States

Not sure about your pick? Give us the name and we'll check it before we start your roof. No idea where to give? See the local causes we recommend.

Same gift on every job

The $1,000 is the same whether your roof is paid for by insurance or by you. It isn't a discount, it isn't tied to your claim, and it never reduces your price or your deductible. Colorado law doesn't allow any roofer to pay, waive or rebate a deductible, and we never will.

Commercial and multifamily projects

Project sizeDonation
Under 100 squares$1,000
100 to 300 squares$1,500
300 to 600 squares$2,000
Over 600 squares$2,500

When and how it's paid

Within 30 days after your roof replacement is complete and paid in full, Charity Roofs sends a check directly to the organization, in honor of your household. It's never paid to you.

Because Charity Roofs makes the gift, it's our donation, not yours, so it isn't tax-deductible for you.

Proof it happened

Every donation goes on our giving wall below, with the organization's name, the amount and the date. With your permission, we'll also post a photo of the check being delivered.

The yard sign

After the job, we'll ask to place a sign in your yard for a few weeks: "This roof gave $1,000 to [organization]." It's optional, and you can say no.

Paid by Charity Roofs directly to the organization within 30 days of your roof's completion.

Local causes we recommend

Pick any church or charity that matters to you. If nothing comes to mind, here are a few organizations doing great work right here in our neighborhood.

Wheat Ridge

The Tin Shed Food Pantry

A volunteer-run, faith-based food pantry on 44th Avenue. Every week they turn a local gym into a free, client-choice grocery store for hundreds of families.

Lakewood / Wheat Ridge

The Action Center

One of Jefferson County's largest and most respected safety-net nonprofits, offering hunger relief, clothing, tenant-landlord counseling and emergency financial help for families in sudden crisis.

Wheat Ridge schools

Wheat Ridge Feeding the Future

Working with Arvada's Community Table, this program funds weekend food sacks and essential toiletries for hungry kids and homeless teens at Wheat Ridge area schools.

Wheat Ridge

LocalWorks

A community-driven nonprofit making Wheat Ridge a great place to live and work by supporting local businesses, organizing volunteer events and funding neighborhood connection programs.

Choosing one of these is just as easy as naming your own. Tell us at signing and we'll send the $1,000 when your roof is done.

The giving wall

Where your roofs gave

A running list of every donation made through Charity Roofs.

Your church or charity could be the first name on this wall.

Every time we finish a full roof replacement, we send $1,000 to the organization our customer chooses and add it here, with a link to its website. Watch this wall grow as we roof the Denver metro.

Fine print: The Charity Roofs Giving Program is a company marketing program funded by Colorado Roofing Contractors LLC, dba Charity Roofs. One donation per full roof replacement on a signed, completed and paid-in-full contract. Repairs and partial replacements are not eligible. Donations are made by Charity Roofs, are not tax-deductible to the customer, and do not reduce the contract price or any insurance deductible. Charity Roofs may decline any organization that doesn't meet the eligibility rules. Program terms may change; the terms in effect when your contract is signed apply.
