Denver roofing that gives $1,000 back
Denver has everything from 1890s Victorians to brand-new homes in Green Valley Ranch, and we roof all of it from our office 15 minutes west in Wheat Ridge. Every full roof replacement sends $1,000 to the charity or church you choose.
Roofs in Denver: what we see
Denver's older neighborhoods, such as Capitol Hill, Highland, Park Hill, Baker and Washington Park, are full of steep Victorian and Denver Square roofs, old board decking, built-in gutters and brick chimneys that need careful flashing. Post-war neighborhoods like Harvey Park and Virginia Village are mostly ranches with simpler roofs. Out east, Stapleton-era Central Park and Green Valley Ranch have newer homes in HOAs. Tight urban lots and alley access are normal, so tear-offs need careful staging.
Hail and storm history near Denver
Denver's roofs take a steady beating. Storm reports show about 349 hail reports within 10 miles of downtown since 2004. The July 11, 1990 storm brought softball-sized hail and about $625 million in damage. On May 30, 2024, a storm that crossed the northern and eastern metro dropped large hail in Green Valley Ranch and other parts of the city, adding to a regional loss estimate near $2 billion. In June 2026, 1.75-inch hail was reported in Denver and Glendale.
Hail counts and dates are from National Weather Service and Storm Prediction Center reports compiled by StormerSite. Check your own address for hail.
Permits and the wildfire code in Denver
Re-roofs in Denver need a permit from the City and County of Denver's Community Planning and Development department, followed by inspection. If your home is a designated landmark or in a historic district, changing roofing materials can require Landmark Preservation review before the permit is issued.
Denver is fully urban, and most addresses are not in a mapped wildfire area. Our free tool will confirm your address in seconds. Check your address or read our guide to Colorado's wildfire roofing code.
Insurance claims for Denver homeowners
We meet your adjuster on the roof and document the damage with photos. Once you hire us, we discuss the repair scope with your insurer and submit supplements for code items and materials the first estimate missed; you stay in charge of your claim. Colorado law gives you 72 hours to cancel a roofing contract after your insurer denies the claim, and it bars roofers from paying or waiving your deductible. See our after-the-storm checklist and our guide to insurance supplements.
Questions from Denver homeowners
My Denver home is in a historic district. Can I change the roofing material?
Possibly, but material changes in designated historic districts can need Landmark Preservation review. Replacing like-for-like is usually simpler. We'll check your address before we quote.
Was Green Valley Ranch hit in the May 2024 hailstorm?
Yes. The National Weather Service tracked that storm across the northern metro and out through the Green Valley Ranch area. Many roofs there have damage that hasn't been claimed yet.
