This Privacy Policy explains how Colorado Roofing Contractors LLC, doing business as Charity Roofs ("Charity Roofs," "we," "us") handles information when you visit CharityRoofs.com, use our hail check or wildfire code check, contact us, or become a customer. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address, city and property address.
- Project details: property type, roof and storm information, photos, insurance company, claim number and adjuster information you share with us.
- The charity, church or organization you choose for the $1,000 donation.
- Messages you send us through forms, email, phone or text.
- Contract and payment information if you become a customer.
Addresses you look up
When you use our hail check or wildfire (WUI) code check, the address you enter is sent to public mapping and weather services to get the result. These include the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder, OpenStreetMap, NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information, and ArcGIS map services published by the State of Colorado and Jefferson County. We don't save lookup addresses to a customer file unless you also send us a request.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Netlify) records basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and the date and time of each visit. This helps keep the site secure and working. We don't use advertising trackers or sell browsing data.
How we use your information
- To call, text or email you back about an inspection, estimate or question.
- To inspect your roof, prepare estimates and contracts, order materials, pull permits and complete the work.
- To document damage and communicate with your insurance company and mortgage company about your claim, when you authorize it.
- To verify and pay the donation to the organization you choose.
- To send appointment reminders, project updates and warranty information.
- To keep records required by law and to protect our rights.
Calls and text messages
If you check the consent box on our form, or otherwise agree, Charity Roofs may call and text you at the number you provide about your inspection, estimate, insurance claim and project, including with automated technology. Consent is not a condition of buying anything. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with anyone, except service providers that deliver messages for us.
When we share information
We share information only as needed to serve you:
- Your insurance company, adjuster and mortgage company, when you authorize us to work on your claim.
- Suppliers, crews and inspectors who need your address and project details to deliver materials and do the work.
- Building departments, for permits and inspections.
- The organization you choose, to make the donation. With your permission, we may name the organization (never your name or address) on our giving wall, website or yard sign.
- Service providers that run our website, forms, email, phone and customer records (such as Netlify and our job management software), under confidentiality obligations.
- When required by law, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep customer records for as long as needed for the project, warranty, tax and legal purposes, generally at least the length of your workmanship warranty. We delete inquiry information we no longer need.
Security
Our site uses encrypted HTTPS connections, and we limit access to customer information to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive information like bank account numbers through our website form.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop contacting you, by emailing info@CharityRoofs.com or calling 720.833.8396. We may need to keep some information to complete a contract, honor a warranty or meet legal requirements. Depending on where you live, laws such as the Colorado Privacy Act may give you additional rights, and we will honor requests as the law requires.
Children
Our website is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Links to other sites
Our site links to government and other websites, like the state wildfire map and NOAA. Their privacy practices are their own.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
